“LIVES THAT MATTER”
Presentation of Amalio A. Rey’s new book: “LIVES THAT MATTER: How to Live Intentionally in a World Addicted to Shortcuts” (Almuzara)
We live in a hurry, we make decisions in a hurry, and because we’re always rushing, many lives are spent without ever touching on what truly matters. Technology multiplies the shortcuts, but the questions remain the same: At what speed do you want to live? Is efficiency the only thing that matters? What price do you pay for your shortcuts?
Come to the presentation of Amalio A. Rey’s new book, a collection of short stories that invite you to underline, discuss, and revisit them. Texts that accompany decisions, processes of reflection, and conversations with children, partners, and friends. Spanning psychology, everyday philosophy, and a sociological perspective, this work explores the tensions that define our time: speed versus meaning, reaction versus intention, authenticity versus adaptation, good shortcuts versus bad shortcuts.
Join us on April 23 to celebrate INTERNATIONAL BOOK DAY at a very special event with the author. Click this link to register for the book presentation with the author, starting at 6:00 p.m. on April 23, in our Felgueroso Hall
